Bellwoods Brewery is a small craft brew pub and retail store in downtown Toronto. We opened our doors to the public on April 6, 2012, and have been brewing full-steam ahead ever since (actually, to be honest we direct-fire, not steam). At a relatively small production capacity of approximately 2200 hectolitres of beer a year, we’re able to exercise a lot of creative freedom, brewing up anything and everything that floats our collective boats. We encourage you to step outside your comfort zone.
Bring Out Your Dead will be available this Saturday at both our bottle shops. This smooth and rich 11% Imperial Stout was aged for a year in first use Cognac barrels before blending. $14/bottle. We are selling over 3300 bottles; max 12 bottles/person.

This is a completely different recipe and beer than the White Picket Fence we last released back in 2014. We have come a long way as a brewery since then and have decided to repurpose this name for a beer that better reflects the direction of our brewery, and the flavours we target. White Picket Fence is now a blended saison that was fermented and conditioned in our foeders. This Saturday we will be releasing Batch 1, with a small variant that spent time on peaches and apricots after blending. Neutral: $10, no limit; Peach & Apricot $12, limit 4/person.

Pouring a spooky lineup of red and black beers at the brewpub tonight, including guest taps from some friends: Trillium Brewing Company PM Dawn, The Indie Alehouse Ritual Madness w/ Cherries, Brasserie Dunham Saison Cerise and Saison Cassis, J. Wakefield Brewing Trouble in Paradise. And from our brewhouses: Satans’s Broadsword, 3 Minutes to Midnight, Crabapple Sour and Cherry Jelly King. Doors open at 5pm.
In addition to Cutting Bells, we have two Halloween appropriate small batch releases scheduled for this Saturday. 🦉Barn Owl #9 is a blend of 2 and 3 year old sour stout barrels that we conditioned on top of fresh raspberries before bottling (7.2%; $14/bottle; limit 4/person). 🗡Satan’s Broadsword is a chewy spiced imperial stout that we brewed with the addition of dulce de leche, lactose, and ancho chili (9.9%; $10/bottle; limit 4/person).

30 weeks ago I'm a bit confused - was visiting Toronto some time Ago (a year) and had Barn Owls at both Bellwoods and Volo (before closing down and Moving on) and it was obviously the shit, just amazing! But now trying to convince the Swedish 'institute' for alcohol import' ( largest buyer of alcohol-containing beverages in the world) to get som Barn Owl they tell me there are several beverages with this name - is this true?

Inspired by their Cutting Tiles, this super dank double IPA was brewed with honey from @rosewoodwine and a lot Galaxy hops. Available at both our stores beginning on Saturday. $6.50/can; $22/4-cans. No limits.

We're heading into the weekend with a stacked lineup, including cans of Witchshark and Jutsu. We'll be filling it out even more tomorrow with the release of Barn Owl #8, Goblin Sauce Double IPA, and Roman Candle IPA cans!
Some last minute high level algebra (and a reconfiguration of our event area) has led us to the conclusion that we have space for another 100 Witchstock attendees per session. These tickets will be released through our on line ticket portal at 8 pm this evening. See the "Witchstock 2017" section of our website for details. The maximum buy per transaction has been dropped to 2 for this final ticket release. Stay tuned for festival beer list!
