Dr. Downer was the first vet I brought my kitty, Bebe to 16 years ago when she was diagnosed with feline diabetes. Dr. Downer was amazing and that is when Bloor Animal Hospital became my vet for all of my cats since then. Dr. Downer has seen me through some difficult times with my pets. She has shown care, compassion and gone above and beyond. Congratulations Dr. Downer on your success and commitment to our furry friends!

Please take a minute to read this info and we encourage you to contact your vet to discuss further. https://blooranimalh...tegory/our-blog/

Does anyone know if Lepto affects cats as well??
    1 week ago Barb Walker
Lepto vaccine is like flu vaccine and depending on which veccine you getbit can cause irriversable sometimes deadly side effects so educate yourselves before getting it and vets be honest about the effectiveness of the vaccines for better or worse do not let pharma money dictate what you say.

TRUE OR FALSE? Once summer is over, you don’t have
to worry about flea and tick control.
FALSE! Fleas remain active throughout the fall season.
And deer ticks, that are known to transmit Lyme disease,
continue to look for an animal to feed on as long as temperatures
stay above 4oC. (Yes, even when there are still patches of snow

The weather might be getting more chilly but those ticks are still out there. Check out these pics a client sent us of a tick found on one of our patients. Remember, ticks come out to feed when the temperature reaches 4 degrees. If you need a refill of your tick prevention, call your vet today.
